Filming process log

Wednesday 11th November - We were due to take shots 1, 2 and 3 but we could not take any of these shot because the actors need could not make it. The only actors we had were Nelly and Alfie so we jumped to the shots which only the two actors were needed which were shots 18 and 19. Because we were supposed to have time to do three shots and we could only do two shots at the time we had a lot of time to focus and put as much effort into this session.

Due to the problems on Wednesday 11th November the order on the call sheet shifted to the right.

Thursday 12th November – Again not all actors were available on this day due to education reasons. Luckily for us we had one more actor than we did the last time; therefore we were able to start on shot 13, 14 and 15.

Due to the problems on the first two days a bit of confusion began to lurk. Nevertheless our storyboard kept us on track. Again our call sheet shifted to the right.

Friday 13th November – Both cameramen were unavailable due to education reasons. Because of this fact the director went to try and continue filming and managed two shots shot 4 and 5.

Although this was this completed some of our filming time it added a lot of confusion to the order of the call sheet.

Monday 16th November – This was the first day everybody was here and we finally had a chance to film shots 1, 2 and 3 successfully and as well as that we completed shot 6 which cut down confusion. This was our most successful day so far.

Tuesday 17th November – Due to the shift in the call sheet we were due to complete shots 7, 8 and 9. Distractions from the sudden change of weather did not allow us to complete all shot but we manage to complete 7 and 8

Wednesday 18th November – Repetition of what happened the day before only allowed us to film shots 9 and 10

Due to the amounts of distraction we were due to add days onto our call sheet which meant we had to work twice as hard to make sure didn’t disrupt our time management. Although our time management stated we had to finish before the deadline we wanted to keep that space open for corrections and addition were need.

Thursday 19th November – For this last day or two we needed to complete shots 11, 12, 16 and 17. However we could not do any filming because too many actors were unable to make it.

Friday 20th November – We began editing the footage we had as we could not start filming at this time.

Monday 23rd November – We were able to complete our filming completing all shots left out. In order for us to have completed all our filming we needed to film in the daytime to ensure success. This was a bit of a problem because the opening to our film was in the night-time the shots we did on this day were by far brighter than the others. Because of this we had to dim the lighting by use of editing.
